New Look Vision Group Inc. announced on Monday the sudden death of Mario Pageau, Senior Vice President Optician Networks and president of New Look Eyewear.
Pageau, who has been in the role since October 2017, died on Saturday. For 17 years he had held a variety of jobs within the company, president Antoine Amiel said in a statement.
“His passion, dedication, humanity and humour will live on in our memories and inspire our actions. On behalf of all at New Look Vision, I offer our deepest condolences to his loved ones,” Amiel said.
The company, which also owns Vogue Optical and Greiche & Scaff, announced the immediate nomination of Marie-Josée Mercier, Vice-President of Sales and Customer Experience, as general manager of New Look Eyewear. Mercier has been with the company for 14 years.
Pageau is survived by his wife, his parents and five children. New Look did not specify how Pageau died.
